Terms and conditions of sale
All transactions are subject to our full terms and conditions of sale, which are available on request.
- Goods remain the property of Ryefield Engineering Company Limited until full settlement is received.
Payment - All prices are excluding VAT, which will be charged at the rate ruling at the time of despatch.
- Prices include packing and carriage paid within the London postal area only, goods will be sent by the fastest normal route. Special carriers requested e.g. TNT etc will be charged at customers' expense. Part carriage cost outside the London area unless otherwise specified in writing will be added to the order.
- Credit accounts will be opened at the company’s discretion and subject to normal bank and trade references and also upon agreement to our trading conditions. The company reserves the right to close credit facilities upon abuse of the above conditions.
- Terms: 30 days net monthly. Approved A/C only. If payment is overdue, the company account will be put on hold until funds have been cleared.
- Payment for non-account customers in one of the following forms:
a) Card settlement, face to face or via the telephone.
b) Company cheque accompanied by official order.
c) No official account, cheque required at works 10 days prior to despatch of goods.
d) Bankers Draft, Credit Transfer, cheque or any other means of guaranteed payment upon agreement with the company.
- The company reserves the right to charge interest upon overdue accounts and pass on collection costs on overdue accounts.
- All bank charges for cheques represented or returned will be passed onto Customer plus a supplementary handling charge.
- The company reserves the right to invoice goods at the price ruling at time of despatch.
- This price list supersedes all previous prices unless a specific agreement otherwise has been made in writing.
Delivery - Prices include packing.
- Free carriage within the London postal area only.
- Goods will be sent by the fastest normal route.
- Special carriers requested e.g. TNT etc will be charged at extra customers expense.
- Carriage cost outside London postal codes will be added to proforma / invoice.
Returns - Refund charges: minimum of 30% handling charge of purchase price (subject to inspection).
- Any damage or refurbishment needed will be charged as an extra expense.
- Credit for returned or cancelled goods may be refused.
- Returned goods must be sent to the Head Office branch in Cheshunt unless otherwise agreed. Any collection expense will be charged extra.
- Warranty and damages
- 12 month warranty on goods, this becomes void if the box has been tampered with.
- Claims for damage/shortage must be made within 3 days of delivery.
- Written notification of non delivery must be made within 14 days of invoice date.
- Any liability for defective products is restricted to free replacement or payment of an equivalent sum. No performance claims are implied unless otherwise specifically stated. The company is not responsible for the applications to which its products may be applied.
